As part of the legislative changes to the Local Government Act 2020, you will need to seek your communities feedback on various policy documents.

Most Council's develop a PDF document and push this out for public comment. If this is your preferred approach to your engagement, then you can gather feedback via EngagementHQ and our partners in the following ways.

Option 1: Konveio

Use Konvieo to embed your PDF into your engagementHQ project page to seek feedback directly onto your PDF. See the Konveio tab below and experience it yourself.

Benefits:

  • You will have more people read and understand the policy
  • Comments will be provided in context of the document
  • Commenting directly on documents yields a higher engagement rate than completing a survey.

Option 2: Survey

Use a survey, but not how you have traditionally conducted a survey. Instead of having your community download your document, read it and then comment, place the contents in the survey to have them read and then respond.

Benefits:

  • You will have more people read and understand the policy
  • Feedback is provided in a structured format, making your data analysis easier to review
  • Comments are considered and a more likely to be related to the content you are seeking input on
  • You are able to clearly report on how you used your communities feedback in the decision making process.
