  • Share We would like to collaborate with local Indigenous groups on environmental projects in the regions in which we work. After 8 years of outreach in northern NSW, we have a good relationship with the traditional custodians there, however, have struggled to engage with groups in other regions, despite repeated attempts. Do you have any advice on how to respectfully engage with Indigenous groups to start a conversation around collaboration? Should we continue to pursue these relationships if we don't hear back after repeated attempts? If so, how? - NFP on Facebook Share We would like to collaborate with local Indigenous groups on environmental projects in the regions in which we work. • Share How have you dealt with issues amongst Aboriginal people themselves when you want to engage? There are a number of Aboriginal persons we need to engage with who are from different "country" however we have predominantly engaged predominantly with the Aboriginal Elder whose country our service is on. Our Aboriginal workers employed by our service, often obstruct or sabotage engagement with our Aboriginal community or undermine the Elder. In essence, they are sometimes at odds with one another which makes it difficult to engage especially when it comes to days of significance. - Health on Facebook Share How have you dealt with issues amongst Aboriginal people themselves when you want to engage?
