The bubbles of our world shrank - but something magical happened

The distance we traveled grew smaller - the space between us and them got bigger - the bubbles of our world shrank. A trip to the mall became a walk to the local high street, a long weekend away became a staycation in the garden and the people we would usually call on for connection, could no longer deliver it in the same way.

But something magical happened. Those regular trips to the high street started to deliver juicy hits of connection, that became sanity gold. I started to see some of the same faces every day, and conversation was actually exchanged - in the street. Staycations revealed how many parks are right on my doorstep. I was ashamed that I didn't know their existence prior to all of this, but over the moon that i'd discovered them, as was Brucey my pup.

People that have always been in close proximity slowly started becoming connections, and some of these are now new friends.

While our physical bubbles got smaller, they burst with new meaning. Connection lives on. It just finds new ways of surfacing.
